Nice house for family at fantastic location My wife, sister and I stayed here the week of August 15 in 2015. We were visiting my other sister whose husband's family has a house in Ocean Beach II. This house had everything we needed and a lot more. The kitchen is loaded with pots, dinnerware, utensils, etc. to serve a large number of people. It has all the necessary appliances including coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. We found the washer and dryer in the laundry room to be handy. The deck is the focal point of the house and it faces the bay. We had coffee each morning and cocktails each evening on the deck. As long as the weather cooperates, the deck is the best place to watch the beautiful sunsets. For most of our stay, the temps were in the mid 90's. The house has AC in the main area, lower floor bedroom and back bedroom on 2nd floor making it very comfortable even when the temps and humidity are high. Although the house is located at the end of the street, there is lots of stuff to do nearby. The neighbors are nice and it is quiet. The owner is a pleasure to deal with. He'll answer any questions you have, no matter how dumb a question. It was a wonderful week.

Great Week at the Shore -- In Spite of Irene My family stated at the 222 S Lagoon Lane House the last week of August -- In the wake of Hurricane Irene. Although we had the trip cut a couple of days short on the front end, the house was ready for us on Monday, after the evacuaton order was lifted. And we were more than happy to go somewhere with electricity!
With the exception of some minor erosion at the bulkhead, the house weathered the storm and was a great spot for a family get away. The deck facing the bay was the perfect place to have a cup of coffee in the morning or to have a cocktail at happy hour, or to watch the stars at night. Washer and dryer are a plus with two boys -- we definitely took advantage of this feature! The kitchen area was easy to work in with more than enough pots, utensils, etc to eat in -- The location is far enough away from activity to be quiet (and it was QUIET) but close enough that restaurants etc are just a short bike ride away for eating out.
The way the house is set up lets folks find a private spot but is spacious enough in common areas for all to hang out together...
The kids enjoyed crabbing and fishing off the bulkhead and kayaking in the bay and playing in the surf on the beach side.
It was a wonderful week and I hope we are able to stay here again!
