Wildwood Crest 5K Beach Race. Heather Road and Ocean Avenue, Wildwood Crest. 8:30am. 5K out-and-back beach run, along with a one-mile fun run/walk, beginning and ending at the foot of the Wildwood Crest Beach Pier.
Your First Mud Run. Only mud run in the country designed so both parents and kids can run together. Courses are 1.5-2 miles and include 10-16 obstacles that are designed for adults and kids. Wildwoods Baby Parade. A Wildwoods tradition since 1909. Parade steps off at 6pm and proceeds up the famous Wildwoods Boardwalk from Convention Center to 16th Street in North Wildwood. Registration ends 5:30pm.
Twins Contest. Prizes for those who look the most and least alike. Registration begins at 6pm in front of the Music Pier.
Cape May Baby Parade. Stand-up and cheer for the youngsters at the Annual Parade. The parade will march off at 11am from Congress Street along Beach Avenue and end at Howard Street.
Cape May Craft Beer & Crab Festival. All-day festival featuring local craft beers to wash down favorite summer picnic foods such as steamed crabs, crab cakes, steamed shrimp, pulled pork, corn on the cob, potato salad and more. Atlantic City Triathlon. 1 mile swim, 20 mile bike, and a 5 mile run. Participants will swim in the safe harbors of Atlantic City’s beautiful back bay, bike along the AC Expressway and run on the Boardwalk.
Boyd Memorial One Mile Ocean Swim. One mile open ocean swim to honor the memory of former Captain John J. Boyd, former Assistant Captain Hugh J. Boyd, and former Lieutenant Joe J. Boyd. Ironman Atlantic City 70.3. The race begins at sunrise with a 1.2-mile sheltered swim in the beautiful back bays of Atlantic City. The single-loop bike course is 56 flat and fast miles through vineyards, state forests, riverside towns, and a portion of the AC Expressway. Finally, the 13.1-mile run course features striking views of the Atlantic Ocean on the world-famous AC Boardwalk.
Savor September Food, Wine and Beer Festival. 6th annual festival, on 96th St. Will showcase the best food, wine, microbrews, art, music and culture the area has to offer. Oyster and clam shucking, carnival games, zoo animals and art activities for kids, a grape stomping competition and a café with fire pits for the evening live entertainment.
