This house is on the boardwalk, beachfront! Ocean Gate is a very small, old time kind of town. Kind of like Mayberry with a boadwalk. Very quiet. They even have an old fashion 4th. of July parade. If you are a baby-boomer it will remind you of the 50`s and 60`s. A very nice boardwalk loves to be walked on. Lots of smiles and greetings from the walkers. Great rental for either young families with small children or grandparents with visiting families. You can watch the kids in the shallow water from inside your porch.

This is not a young adult "party all night" town.

The beach is the south shore where the Toms River meets Barnagat Bay. [This is BAY beachfront. NOT OCEAN.] Lots of action on the water. Sailing classes and races. Always great crabbing off the pier or jetty right in front of the house. The sun rises over the water and shines into the porch.

The summer rental is a DUPLEX. The property details says 2 bedrooms and one bath. That is for ONE side. The house is divided down the middle. You can rent both sides or one side. Each side has upstairs 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Downstairs is a large kitchen, a living room and a porch on the boardwalk. Furnished. There is an outside hot water shower, grill, beach badges, one on property parking spot. Off street parking is never a problem. Visitors need to bring their own sheets and towels. Each side has 2 window A/C units upstairs only. None downstairs. No pets. Check in is 2:00PM on Saturdays and check out is 10:00AM on the Saturday you leave.

No crowds, ... just the shore.

Nice discounts for renting more than one week in a row. Some consideration if you rent both sides.

For the rest of 2010 we have open from 8/28 on, both sides. We are now looking for a winter rental from September or October through the end of April or May. For the 2011 season we are looking for a seasonal or monthly rental. Come the winter of 2011 we might consider weekly rentals but great deals can be had on a monthly!
